PROJECTS / RESEARCH

Titel of Thesis "The role of the prefrontal cortex in guiding visual attention in macaque monkeys"

SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS AND GOALS

I wish to understand the crosstalk between associative and sensory regions of cortex and how these regions influence each other. Specifically, I am investigating top-down cognitive signals, especially from frontal areas that modulate our perception. Ultimately, brain processes that mediate awareness and consciousness are my primary scientific interest.
